This current body of work comments on boundaries – their limits and confines and their existence within surroundings; simultaneously it explores material boundaries – the restrictions within making processes and the way in which we make.

3D drawings and compositions of intricate renderings and shapes are inspired by the boundaries seen in spaces, be it in road markings, the lay out of a contruction site or viewing a map and how these lines and marks effect the area. From this materials are combined, contructed and composed together in delicate compositions to present a contemporary interpretation of how boundaries effect space. This work explores the transitions of place alongside transitions in materials and how the ceramic medium interacts with other materials and the limits and restrictions which come with this.
